John Gurrell doesn't show up in any known census or other public record. Any help with his identity would be greatly appreciated.

My original information on John came from a Family Bible. It showed him born 18 June 1827 in Georgetown, Sagadahoc County, ME, son of John and Margaret Gurrell. But his tombstone shows him born in 1837, which I believe was correct.

John Gurrell married Adaline E. Lyons on 20 July 1871 in Carlton County, Minnesota. (Certificate Number A-13, Minnesota Official Marriage System). This was at least a second marriage for both.
