Meshich was the son of Malachi Horner and Susannah Robbins. He married Sarah Jane Guest on 14 Jan. 1831 in Salem Co., NJ. His estate was inventoried on 3 April 1834. He was then a resident of Pennsgrove, Salem Co., where he is presumed to have died.

His father Malachi was buried in the Old Stone Church Ground in Oak Grove, near Swedesboro, Gloucester Co., NJ, in 1860, and these remains were later removed to Lake Park Cemetery, Swedesboro, to be interred with those of Malachi's second wife. Meshich's widow (who remarried) was buried in Jordantown Baptist Cemetery with her second husband. And finally, Meshich's twin daughters Mary Torton and Martha Denny are buried in Pennsgrove, NJ, presumably in Riverview Cemetery.
Of the four family burial locations above, it seems likeliest that Meshich was buried with his mother in old Pilesgrove Methodist Cemetery. This is an educated guess, however, and nothing more.
