Martha was born about May 1833 near Pennsgrove, Salem Co., NJ, the daughter of Meshich F. Horner and Sarah J. Guest. She married Capt. John Q. A. Denny in Nov./Dec. 1853 in Lower Penns Neck Twp., Salem Co. She died the same day as her twin sister, Mary Torton.
