Yvonne Cardona, 63, of El Centro, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012.
She was born November 12, 1948 in Calexico and was married to Daniel Cardona on December 26, 1976 in Yuma, AZ. Yvonne worked as an Instructional Aide with Calexico Unified School District for approximately 35 years at Rockwood and Mains Elementary Schools.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank P. Olague; mother, Florence Olague and father-in-law, Vicente Cardona.
Yvonne is survived by her husband, Daniel Cardona; son, Daniel (Cynthia) Cardona; daughter, Loni (Stan) Herrera; grandchildren, Sarina, Xiomara, Nayeli, Citlali, Rene and brother on the way; brothers, Frank and Victor Olague; sister, Olivia Olague.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Hems Chapel in Calexico with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Calexico. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.
