Mrs. Grace W. Cawthon, age 79, passed away April 26, 2011. She was born February 19, 1932 in Wilder, Tennessee to William H. Westfelt and Hazel Watson. Mrs. Cawthon was a resident of Walton County for over 40 years and was Methodist by faith.
She operated a home based child care business for 25 years, serving families in the Mossy Head area. She was an avid gardener and crochet artisan. Mrs. Cawthon is preceded in death by her father and mother and brother David V. Westfelt. Mrs. Cawthon is survived by her husband, Robert Cawthon of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two sons, Charles E. Bowers, Jr. and wife Nicki of Tom Ball, Texas; William F. Bowers and wife Karen of Andaluisa, Alabama,; one daughter, Deborah Kay Pontius and husband James of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Opal Weaver and anna Faye Hickey both of Somerset, Kentucky. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ronald Garland officiating. Burial will follow in the Alaqua Cemetery.
