MR. J. B. CURRY DEAD
Mr. James B. Curry, after an illness of several months, died Tuesday afternoon, March 30th, at 4:25 o'clock, in Cincinnati, following an operation which it was hoped would restore him to health. The operation seemed at first to be entirely successful, but last Friday a change came for the worse, and continued to his death.
The remains were brought to his late home on Sublimity Street Wednesday afternoon, and following funeral services conducted by Rev. R. B. Baker Thursday at 1:30 were laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery, in the presence of a large number of friends.
Mr. Curry was born in Clay County on October 27th, 1887, a son of Mrs. Susan and the late Theo Curry, but came to London with his parents while yet young and for the past 22 years has made this his home. He was married November 28th, 1908, to Miss Myrtle Chewning(sic), a Livingston, and she survives him. His mother, brother and sister, Mr. W. F. Curry and Mrs. J. Harper, all of London, also survive him.
Mrs. Leona Johnson, who died during the first flu epidemic, October 25, 1919, was another sister, and his father preceded him to the grave about six years.
Mr. Curry was a stock trader(livestock) and during the latter years of his life was quite successful, leaving his wife in comfortable circumstances. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

From Hank Cox, photographer for this memorial:
"... his gravestone was near those of Effie J. Curry, William F. Curry, Susan Curry, and Theo Curry."
