Later in life he met Jacqueline and they have been inseparable, since 1993. Thurman held many jobs to take care of his family: part time maintenance, Apollo Foods –delivering pizza, even Buckeye Steel for 3 days, before landing a permanent full time job with the City of Columbus Sanitation Department where he retired after 26 years.
