Fred A. Mackey Fred A. Mackey, 79, 1315 Candlewood Drive NE, died Wednesday at a Salem hospital. Born in Nebraska, Mackey had been a Salem resident for 25 years. He was employed at Boise Cascade Corp. prior to his retirement. He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are widow Polly; sons Orval, of Salem, John, of Corvallis, C. W. Mackey, of Tigard, and Lyle, in Pennsylvania; daughters Mrs. Lyda Gobet, Oregon City, Mrs. Garland Gardner, Salem, and Mrs. Naomi Smith, Turner; sister Mrs. Dora Burns, in Nebraska; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Howell - Edwards - Doerksen mortuary, Rev. Dennis Davis officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
