"Mrs. Louisa Snider, 77, died early Thursday morning, June 15, in the Methodist Hospital, St. Joseph, where she was taken Monday after suffering a severe stroke at the Browne memorial Nursing Home, Oregon, where she resided.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the Methodist Church in Oregon. The Rev. Hugo Rolens will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City.
Mrs. Snider, the daughter of Willard and Susan Dick Bledsoe, was born Jan. 4, 1895, near Forest City, and attended the Burr Oak country school. She was a resident of Holt County the greater part of her life.
In 1914 she was married to George Snider, who preceded her in death in 1964. She was also preceded by infant twins, Paul and Ruth, and another son, Charles.
Surviving are three sons, Henry Snider, Forest City, James Snider, Craig, and Harold Snider, Dearborn; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Mendenhall and Mrs. Chrystal Bohart, Mound City; Mrs. Edna Mae buckles and Mrs. Dorothy Findley, St. Joseph; 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren."
