Nancy was born to the parents of Willard and Susan Chestney Bledsoe.
She was married to Alonzo "Lon" Franklin Elder, they were the parents of three daughters: Wilma, Thelma and Nita Elder.
Nancy of died of Pneumonia and Parkinson's disease.
