Shelley was a gorgeous green opaline parakeet with a sweet disposition and friendly nature. He was half of the team of "Keets & Shelley". Shelley was a rather imposing-looking bird, but was really a gentle giant.
Shelley was willing to let Jackie Keets be the leader, but after his cage mate died, he was discovered to be quite a clown who would dance on his perch and mutter something that sounded like "'ood 'orning" --- "Good morning!" His favorite sound to imitate was the whippoorwill's whistle.
Shelley loved shredding and chewing things. He also enjoyed other birds and would scold if the young ones became too rowdy. His favorite foods were broccoli, corn, carrots, and oats & groats.
