Elmer James Baus, 47, a resident of 513 Vermont Street, Fond du Lac, entered eternal life on August 5, 2011, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Elmer was born on July 14, 1964, in Fond du Lac, a son of Martin M. and Gladys M. Sass Baus. On July 13, 1990, he married Crystal Marie Snow. Elmer worked in the construction and auto salvage fields. He enjoyed working for the good of others. Survivors include his wife, Crystal M. Baus, of Fond du Lac, two wonderful sons, James J. Baus of Alabama and Marty J.B. Baus of Fond du Lac, two beautiful daughters, Felicia M. Baus and Cheyenne R. Baus both of Fond du Lac, a grandson, Reese M. Thomas of Alabama and Elmer's special dog, Buddy. Elmer is further survived by a brother, Lawrence M. (MaryAnn) Baus of Texas, and four sisters, Gloria L. Hoff, Mary J. (Dean) Martin, Carol A. (Oscar) Lara and Barbara M. (Thomas) Guell all of Fond du Lac, and by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Dean Baus. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday August 8, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:45 PM at the Zacherl Funeral Home. A memorial service will be celebrated on Monday 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. The family extends special thanks to all the medical staff that assisted Elmer and his family in his time of need. "It's never goodbye, it's, I'll see you later."
