Very married second on December 15, 1938 to Florence James Howland Place (1880 – 1959) the widow of Sherman Howland and Charles A Place. For further information regarding Florence, please refer to Charles A. Place. Very and Mary Bennett had just one son, Glenn.
Very was the son of Davis Dimock and Cornelia Very Bennett. Mary Lucina was the daughter of Calvin and Juliet Ross (Snell) Woodruff. Mary died of from complications of a broken hip the Robert Packer Hospital.
There is an interesting burial note regarding Mary Bennett. She has a flagstone vault. Vaults did not become popular until about 1950.

The Bennett Farm about 1960. Glenn Bennett was born here in 1905. Robert and Anna Labzentis Bolles began running the farming operations of the farm in 1952. Their son George, and his wife Dawn Edsell Bolles were in charge of operation in 2005 when Glenn passed. They have since purchased the farm from the Glenn Bennett estate. The farm had been left to his children with the passing of the grandfather Very D. Bennett.

Very D. Bennett, age 76 years passed away at his home on Clapper Hill (Laceyville R.D.) early Saturday morning after a long illness. He was born in Stevens Township June 17, 1876: a son of David and Mary C. Very Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a retired farmer and reside don Clapper Hill and vicinity all of his life. He is survived by his wife the former Florence James Place; one son Glenn Bennett and four grandchildren all of Laceyville. Three sisters, Mrs. Annis McLaud and Mrs. Wavie Bennett of Laceyville R.D. and Mrs. Vesta Dimon of Middletown, PA. Four steps sons: Otto and Emery Place of Laceyville R.D. Arthur Place of Johnson City, and Lyle Place of Norwich, N.Y. Funeral services were held this Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Beaver Meadows Church with the Rev. William Reid. Interment will be in the Beaver Meadows Cemetery
