Billy J. Becker, 86, of Kingwood, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born on September 4, 1927, to Julius and Margurite Becker in Prairie Lea, TX.
Billy joined the Air Force in 1944 right out of high school and was stationed in the Azores, Portugal. He attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas where he got his Associates Degree. He went to work for the United States Postal Service and after thirty three years retired as a postal supervisor.
Billy was a devout Christian serving as a deacon of Travis Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Most recently, he was a member of Kingwood First Baptist Church.
Billy had many loves. He loved sports, specifically, softball and bowling. He loved working in his yard and his animals. Most of all, Billy loved his family. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and one son.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Becker; children, Carl Glenn Becker (Ginger), John Jeffrey Becker, Roxanna Becker, Carla Musick and Delra Woram (John); grandchildren, John Jeffrey Becker, Dylan Becker, Morgan Becker, Brian Musick, Jason Musick, Cameron Woram and Desmond Woram; sisters, Jo Harsdorff (Fritz) and Eva Sanders; brother, Carl Becker (Nancy).
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
