Josiah Fields Seabolt born in 1854 in Sequoyah District, Indian Territory to Joseph Seabolt and Nancy Ann Hair. He had the following known siblings: Susannah, Sarah Ellen, James Madison, Timothy E., Anderson B., & Fannie Seabolt.

He married on 29 Dec 1873 (1) Cynthia Agnew b. abt 1852, daughter of John Agnew and Nellie Martin. Josiah & Cynthia had the following children: Infant Son (1874) and Susie Florence Seabolt b. 1876 (both buried at this cemetery).

He married on Mar 1878 (2) Lucy Foster b. 1844 d. 09 Sep 1888, daughter of Da-yu-li-si Foster and Gu-na-yi; they had no children.

He married on 04 Aug 1889 (3) Ellen Ruth Johns (buried at Sallisaw City Cemetery with 2nd husband Jacob Simon Denny); Josiah and Ellen had the following children:

Josiah served as Councilor to the Cherokee Nation from Sequoyah District in 1883. He was Sheriff of Sequoyah District 1889 to 1891.

He received a land allotment in 1902 and built a log house on his property. He died in 1908 of pneumonia and congestive heart failure at the age of 53 yrs.
