Carolinda Dias was born on 26 January 1901, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born to Jose "Joseph" and Maria "Mary" Jose (Furtado) Dias. Joseph and Mary together had twenve children, Maria, Manuel, Joseph, Victor, Clara, Rose, Antonina, Charles, Louis, Georgina, Alice, and of course Carolinda.

Carolinda grew up on the Island or Oahu, in the Hawaiian chain. On 22 June 1918 on the island of Oahu, she married Raymond Napua Maihui. Together they had two boys, Raymond Napua Jr., and Benjamin Napua Maihui. Unfortunately this union ended with the death of Raymond, Sr., on 23 December 1921.

Then tragically, shortly after the birth of her youngest son Benjamin, on 3 May 1922, Carolinda passed away.
