She was born January 25, 1912 in Logan, Utah to James Arthello and Athalia Haws Kendall. She married Ray Warner Worhtington June 10, 1936 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died October 4, 1997.
She was raised in Nephi and received her education through the Nephi school system. She received her bachelors degree in education at Utah State University. She taught school in the Nephi Elementary for 32 years touching many lives. She has been active in the LDS Church serving as counselor in the Relief Society, Young Womens, Primary and many other positions. She loved geneology and temple work. She served with her husband a mission in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survived by her children and daughter-in-law, Twila Worthington of Billings Montana; Don Wayne (May Lou) Worthington of South Jordan, UT; Arta June (David) Nielson of Hyrum, UT; JoAnn (Jay) Grygla of Riverton, UT; Kent Warner (Gloria) Worthington of Gunnison, UT; Ranae (Dennis) Truscott of Nephi, UT; 37 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Afton Cheney, Jean Hinton, Della (Willa) Hall, Wiliam (Vanda) Kendall, Britt (Yvonne) Kendall; sister-in-law, LaRae Kendall. Preceded in death by a son Paul Ray Worthington, and brothers, Haws and Clair and a sister Clarice Kendall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday November 9, 1998 in the Nephi 2nd Ward Chapel, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
