Mrs. Dorothea Koehler, an old resident of Belleville, died at the family home, 241 Missouri avenue, shortly after 7 o'clock Monday evening, after an illness of but six days.

Deceased was born in Heddesbach, Baden, Germany, March 30, 1834, and came to America with the family when six years old. Her parents settled in Belleville and she has resided here ever since. On April 21, 1852, she was united in marriage to George Hoffmann, who died 15 years ago. Six children were born of this union, two of whom, August C. Hoffmann and Mrs. John Dollus, survive their mother. A daughter who was married to Fritz Kuni, preceded her mother many years ago. On June 28, 1868, she was married to George Koehler, who died some years ago. Two children were born of this union, but both are dead. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Gauss, mother of George and Victor Gauss, and Mrs. Margareta Schneider, both of Belleville.

The funeral takes place Wednesday at 2 o'clock to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
