Ruth E. Bird, 59, of 4430 Piute Place, San Diego, Calif., died Monday at her home after a short illness.
Mrs. Bird was born in Syracuse and lived in Warners and Clay before moving to San Diego 10 years ago. She was a 1948 graduate of Warners High School. Mrs. Bird was a Realtor.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas V.; a son, Dale D. of Liverpool; two daughters, Sindy Howard-Flanders of Monrovia, Calif., and Dina Bird of Jordan; two brothers, John A. Smith of Pafftown, N.C., and Leonard Darrell Smith of Warners ; a sister, Alice Salvetti of Warners ; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were today at B.L. Bush & Sons, Camillus, the Rev. Edwin J. Taylor officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners .
