Daniel, the first son of Valentine and Mary Ann, was the
oldest child. He was raised on his father's farm at Belfast and
then in his twenties possibly in the 1870's, he went north to
Echo Bay. His sister, Elizabeth, went north in 1877. Daniel
married Alice (or Ann) Byrnes and they-had four boys and two girls.
Alice died and Daniel married Minnie Conquergood and they had one
son, Tom. Daniel farmed about a mile from Echo Bay up on a hill
overlooking Echo Bay.

Daniel and Alice's first child was a daughter Mary Anne. born 1873. She had three marriages. No children from first and third marriages. Two daughters from Second marriage.
Robert (possibly the third son died as an infant we have no record of birth date or death date)
