Edna Florence Schepler, age 94, formerly of Oral, SD, and Hot Springs, SD, got to go home to be with her Lord Jesus on July 20, 2014, at the Custer Regional Senior Care in Custer, SD.

Edna was born May 22, 1920, in Sterling, CO, to Jacob and Amelia (Munkey) Dick. She married Walter Schepler August 6, 1949. They lived on an Angostura Irrigation unit near Oral. They were members of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs.

She enjoyed extension club, playing pinochle, gardening, and her church.

Edna is survived by her children, Richard (Leila) Schepler of Norco, CA; Robert (Carla) Schepler of Edgemont, SD; Paul Schepler of Coulee Dam, WA; Kathleen Hoffman of Leavenworth, KS; Lavonne (John) Kohl of Arvada, CO; three sisters, Helen of CA; Alvera of TX; Evelyn of CO; 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents and several siblings.

A memorial in Edna's name has been established to benefit the Bethesda Lutheran School in Hot Springs.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs with Pastor Gary Jacobsen officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery near Oral.
