Lillian was born January 13, 1927 in Bellingham, Washington to Adolph and Emma Dahlberg Schreiber.

As a child she lived in Kendall, Washington until her father died in a logging accident in 1935; and then she and her sister and mother moved to the Evergreen area.

Lillian graduated from Ferndale High School in the class of 1945.

She furthered her education at Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills Alberta, Canada and
graduated in the class of 1950. During her college summers she and her sister, Gloria worked at the local telephone company and then Lillian switched to Kelly Farqurhar Foods in Ferndale.

She met her husband, Bill Lancaster at the Kelly Farqurhar Food Processing Plant in the summer of 1950. While they were getting to know one another they discovered that they both were called to the mission field; and then they felt the call to serve in JAPAN.

They married on April 27, 1951.

They took their first born son, David at age 15 months and left for the field of Japan the summer of 1953. During their first term their daughter, Sheryl Ann was born. It was during their first furlough back in Bellingham that their youngest child, Debbie was born.

Bill and Lillian continued to faithfully serve the Lord in Japan for 40 plus years.

After returning to Whatcom County they shifted their focus of Ministry to their sending Church, First Baptist Church of Ferndale, WA with teaching and visitation. After Bill's "home going" in January of 2009, Lillian resided at Spring Creek Retirement complex and continued sharing her Faith with everyone she met.

She is survived by her son, David and his wife Susan and their children Courtney, Ryan and his wife Becky Lancaster; daughters, Sheryl Ann and her husband Kiyo Takai and their son Joshua; Debbie and her husband Don Henney and their sons: Daniel Henney, Joseph and his wife Amanda Henney and Caleb Henney. Also surviving Lillian is her sister, Gloria Leque; and her daughters; Lynn Leque, Sharon Leque, Julie and her husband Monte Littleton and their children Nick and Madelyn Littleton; brother in-law Jim Lancaster and his wife Sharon and their sons, Geoff and his wife Pam and Greg Lancaster and his wife Jolene; and numerous other relatives.
