AUTAUGAVILLE Joan Roosendaal, age 79, of Autaugaville, died at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa Saturday, March 24, 2012.
She was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska on December 5, 1932, to Albert and Anna Eliza Ackerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale L. Roosendaal and grandson, Sloan Roosendaal. She is survived by sister, Betty Bowman; daughters, Kathy Giles (Roy) and Sandra Gober (Mac); son, Dale J. Roosendaal (Connie); four grandsons, one granddaughter and three great-grandsons. Services will be March 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Our mother was a loving person who found joy in being with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cooking their favorite foods. She loved to play cards, crochet, study the Bible and attend church. Pallbearers will be Joseph Wenrich, Jonathan Roll, Caleb Gober, Joshua Gober, Jasper Roosendaal and Soloman Roosendaal.
