Mrs. Barbara Gross Watson, age 80, of Fishers, Indiana formerly of Trimble County and Madison, entered this life on June 16, 1934 in Milton, Kentucky in Trimble County. She was the loving daughter of the late, George and Bernice Burkhardt Gross. She was raised in Trimble County and was a 1952 graduate of Madison High School. She received an associate degree from University of Cincinnati. On April 13, 1957 she was united in marriage to Wayne D. Watson at the Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Trimble County. Barbara and Wayne moved to Madison in 1971 and to their home on Green Hills in 1972. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker. Barbara enjoyed her home, cooking delicious meals for her family and gardening. She had resided near her son in Fishers since her health began to decline. Barbara died on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 4:20 a.m. at the Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Barbara will be missed by her loving son, Greg Watson and his wife, Kim of Fishers, Indiana; her loving sisters, Georgia Ann Long and her husband, J.D. of Milton, Kentucky, Dorothy Hamilton of Milton, Kentucky; her loving brothers, Bernie Gross and his wife, Theresa of Milton, Kentucky, Bob Gross and his wife, Janice of Milton, Kentucky, Doug Gross and his wife, Kathy of Milton, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bernice Burkhardt Gross, her beloved husband of forty nine years, Wayne D. Watson died, April 16, 2006, and her brother in law, Vernonne Hamilton.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., by Bro. Aaron Snelling at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky

Friends may call Monday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community North Hospice or the Arthritis Foundation of Southern Indiana. Cards are available at the funeral home.
