OBITUARY :
MRS. SOPHIA MARY FARNER, 84, formerly of 53 Garber St., Chambersburg, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Guilford Convalesarium, Fayetteville.

Born Nov. 29, 1894, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary (Rife) Crist.

She was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.

Her husband. Ralph I. Farner, died in 1947.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert Diffenderfer, Fayetteville R.D. 3, and Mrs. Russell Shoemaker, Chambersburg, a son, Theodore L. Farner, Reidsville, N.C., eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Herbert Crist, Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Park Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Andrew P. Marinak officiating.

Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
