Mrs. Martha Jane Adams Watson, 86, of Vestavia Hills peacefully went home for Christmas on December 18, 2012. Mrs. Watson was a devoted, loving, and kind mother, sister, and friend. She lived most of her life in Ragland before moving to Vestavia Hills in 1999. She was a member of Ragland First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Aubrey Lee Watson; children, William Ross Watson and Missy Lee Macon; brothers, George Adams, and Robert Adams, and sisters, Mary Frances Bennett and Madge Champion. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Watson and Janie Gaither and son-in-law, Steven Gaither; grandchildren, Doni Dye, Wesley Macon, Anthony Fincher, Jodie Forbus, Melody Reaves, Brent Reaves, Gracie Gaither, and eight great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Tom Bentley; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Adams, Sue Adams, Theoria Allen and husband, James Richard; numerous nieces and nephews, and former son-in-law, Darrell Reaves and wife, Paula; special caregivers, Joy Martin and Melva Moore. Donations in her memory may be made to the

- Alabama Chapter Endowed Chair in Pediatric Rheumatology, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the Lupus Foundation. Flowers are also appreciated. The Family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's hospital for the loving care and kindness provided to Mrs. Watson. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12 noon at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City with the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in Ragland Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-12 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Adams, Clyde Adams, Greg Adams, George Adams, David Champion, Jonathan Hare, Don Sanders, Darrell R. Reaves, Darrell D. Reaves & Steve Bishop Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, will direct the service.
