Charles L. Nordine, 77, 105 W. Michigan Ave., died Sunday at Grandview Hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1898 at Kenton and attended schools there. On July 15, 1926, he was married to the former Evelyn Nicholls at Ironwood by the Rev. William Francis.
Employed by the Forest Service 10 years at Kenton, he later was a construction foreman at Watersmeet and in September, 1942, transferred to Maumee, Ohio, where he served as chief inspector at the Rossford Army Ordinance Depot, Toledo, until retiring in 1962. In 1963, he came to Ironwood and lived here since.
During World War I, he served with the Navy aboard the USS New Mexico. He was a member of the Ironwood American Legion Post; the Ironwood Masonic Lodge; Aurora Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; various Scottish Rites bodies of Marquette; Ahmed Shrine Temple, Marquette and Wesley United Methodist Church.
