Born Ingo Clemens Gustav Adolf, Freiherr (Baron) von Wangenheim. Actor, director, dramaturg. Son of the actor-director Eduard von Winterstein and his first wife, the actress Minna Mengers.
The biography below was appended by Find a Grave management from a duplicate memorial. Unfortunately, the author's name is unknown to me.
Born Ingo Clemens Gustav Adolf Freiherr von Wangenheim, Gustav was a German silent-film actor who starred in several expressionist films. He was also a writer and director and made an anti-Nazi protest video. He briefly served as a soldier in World War I, but was discharged after an eye injury in 1915. He made his film debut in 1914, but his most famous role was when he played the part of Thomas Hutter (aka Jonathan Harker) in Nosferatu (1922). He also starred in Warning Shadows (1923). He is often criticized for his "over-the-top" acting style.
