Funeral services for Mrs. Susie C. Owens, who died Sunday night, will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the First Gospel Worker's church , Perkins street and Maiden Lane avenue by the Rev. Dow Booe, paster of the church. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. the body will be in state at the Hurlbut-Glover funeral chapel until noon Thursday, and then at the church until funeral hour. Mrs. Owens, 89 years old, died at the home of a daughter Bertha Cutrell, 2506 1/2 Byers avenue, with whom she made her home. She is survived by 115 different descendants. Born December 4, 1867, in Newton County, Arkansas, she had lived in the Joplin 27 years. She was the widow of Mont Owens. Mrs. Owens was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Rosie Garrett, 502 Pennsylvania avenue, five sons, John Owens and Virgil Owens of Anderson, Willie Owens of Spring city, Louie Owens of Springfield, and Claud Owens of Nevada; a brother Dan Spears of Tahequah, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Nora Hendricks of Stillwell, Okla.; 38 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers at funeral services for Mrs. Susie Owens to be conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in the First Gospel Worker's church, will Be Emery Owens, Clarence Owens, Gene Owens, Ted Owens, James Owens and Coleman Wolf.
