Glen William Ehlert, 30, died Sunday morning, April 8, at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo.

Funeral services were Wednesday, April 21, 1971, at the Chapel of Memories West with Rev. Arnold Melz, pastor of the Christ Lutheran Church of Waterloo officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories. The flag folding ceremony was by the Becker-Chapman American Legion Post, No. 138.

Mr. Ehlert was born Nov. 11, 1920 to Albert and Mary Stahr Ehlert at Sumner. He moved to Waterloo in 1946. He served in the U S Army in World War II. On May 8, 1945 he married Esther Jean Page at Eastbourne, Sussex, England. He was employed at John Deere in the foundry, member of Local 838, UAW.

He is survived by his wife, a son Terrance of Waynesburg, Pa. and a daughter, Kimberly Ann at home. Two brothers, Harley of Waverly, Walter of Cedar Falls; one sister, Inez, Mrs. Donald McCue of Sumner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
