He was the son of the late William J. and Theresa C. (Klunk) Gebhart.
Mr. Gebhart was retired from the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, where he was a mail carrier for 26 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, the McSherrystown Home Association, the New Oxford Social Club, and the McSherrystown Fish and Game Association.
Surviving is one sister, Cosmos Worley of Hanover; two brothers, Richard E. Gebhart of New Oxford and William H. Gebhart of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Gerald Gebhart, Regis Gebhart, Joseph Gebhart, Paul Gebhart, and Carl Gebhart; and three sisters, Rita Rinehart, Natalie Greenholt, and Margaret Hays.
