Vashti Easlon Maddox, 87, of Turlock died at Emanuel Medical Center.
Mrs. Maddox was a native of Oklahoma. She had lived in Turlock since 1953 and in Los Angeles from 1936-53.
She worked at Turlock High School, Della's Dress Shop and Miss Margie's Dress Shop.
She was a member of Bethel Temple and attended church services at Covenant Village the past seven years.
She enjoyed reading and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Maddox of Turlock; children, Judy Christoffersen of Turlock and Linda Ericksen of Montana; stepchildren, Raleigh Maddox of Tennessee, the Rev. Donald Maddox of Pasadena and Bill Maddox of Georgia; and 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Kennedy; daughter, Georgia Paul; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Mortuary.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Burial at Turlock Memorial Park.
