Nan was born 19th May 1909, Springvale,Moneyneena,County Derry,Ireland, the tenth of eleven children born to David O'Kane and Mary Ann Hegarty. She emigrated with her brother David arriving New York 22nd February 1930. She married Peter McQuade 07th June 1947, Philadelphia. Nan died 02nd November 2009, Phoenix, Arizona, Age 100. Her body was interred 07th November 2009, Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
