Our Hero, Glenda Bernice Anderson Carter, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, 3 July 2014, at her home after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. She was under the loving care of family.

She was born 10 July 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Clifford and Ellen Carlston Anderson. Glenda grew up and attended school in Pocatello. She graduated from Highland High School in 1966, and was a member of the first graduating class to attend all three years at Highland.

She married the love of her life, Edmund Lynn Carter, 30 September 1966 in Pocatello. Glenda and Ed lived in Pocatello; Vashon Island, WA; Rigby; St. Anthony; and Idaho Falls. Through the years Glenda worked at Key Bank, and Smitty's Pancake and Steak House, but her favorite job was being a mother, wife, and grandmother.

Glenda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Relief Society.

She coached softball, basketball, and volleyball, and she enjoyed bowling. She also loved fishing and camping. Other hobbies she had were quilting, watching Utah Jazz games, and watching the New York Yankees. She was one of the most beautiful souls anyone could ever know. She was one of the most fun, loving, adventurous, family oriented, honest people you could have ever met. She will be missed by all of her people.

Glenda is survived by her husband Ed Carter of Idaho Falls; daughter, Caprice Watson (Richard) of Blackfoot; son, Eddie Carter (Ruth) of Idaho Falls; daughter, Rachelle Hubler (Terry) of Blackfoot; son, Andy Carter of Idaho Falls; brother, Gary Anderson of Federal Way, WA; brother, Ned Anderson (Ellen) of Pocatello; sister, Ellen Ballard (Al) of Yakima, WA; sister, Carla Hoffman (John) of Pocatello; Sister-in-law, Hellen Anderson of Salt Lake City, UT; and sister-in-law, Pauline Anderson of Blackfoot; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, 8 July 2014, at the Sage View LDS Ward at 1345 Clarence Dr. in Idaho Falls with Bishop Jerry Tomlinson officiating. The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday 7 July 2014 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

At a later date, her body was cremated and her ashes buried.
