John Leslie Aynes, 61, of Oakdale died Thursday at Oak Valley Hospital.
Mr. Aynes was a native of Texas. He lived in Oakdale nine years. He was the director of the substance abuse program at San Joaquin General Hospital for 15 years. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a member of the Delta Old Time Fiddlers, Manteca.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Aynes of Oakdale; children, William Aynes and Debbie Aynes, both of Stockton, Martin Aynes and Marilyn Aynes, both of Galt, Justin Aynes of Fremont, and Vicky Adams and Danny Adams, both of Stockton; brothers, James Aynes and Gene Hill, both of Texas; a sister, Joyce Welch of Texas; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, French Camp. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
