Daughter of David and Elizabeth McCullough Evans.
Mrs. Rachel Jackman died at the home of her son and daughters on Lincoln Avenue, last Saturday evening about six o'clock. Aged 75 years, 8 months and 15 days. The deceased was born near Somerset, Ky. She came to Kansas in 1877, and has lived here for many years with her children three daughters and one son, all of whom survive her. Mrs. Jackman had in his possession a church letter from a Christian church in Kentucky, but her health had been too poor to enable her to attend church, and she had never connected herself with any church here. The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Monday afternoon by Rev. Mr, Wareham, whose neighborly kindness had endeared him to the deceased and to the family, To him and to all who were kind to them the family request us to return their sincere thanks.
