Gloria Thrower Dangerfield, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
Mrs. Dangerfield was born August 9, 1941, a daughter of Wade Hampton and Myrtle Thrower. She was the second of three children.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Wade Hampton Thrower, Jr.
She worked for the Charleston Naval Shipyard, the Charleston Air Force Base, and FEMA as a Federal Government Employee for 35 years.
She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Robin Dangerfield Goldston and her husband, Mike, as well as her son, Rick Dangerfield, all of Mt. Pleasant. She was loved by all her grandchildren, Kristen Dangerfield of North Charleston, George Goldston of Mt. Pleasant, Grace Goldston of Mt. Pleasant, Kalli Dangerfield of Mt. Pleasant, and Luke Goldston of Mt. Pleasant. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Liberty Jernigan and London Dangerfield, both of North Charleston. She will be missed by her sister, Rosemary Hull of Summerville, and by many nieces and nephews.
All of her family will miss her fabulous Southern cooking. Gloria's Thanksgiving Turkey Stuffing, Mac and Cheese, and Sweet Potato Souffle can never be matched. Her homemade Chocolate Covered Cherries and Nut Cake will be missed by all at Christmas time. Rest in peace our sweet Mommy and Grand Mommy! You will always be remembered and loved!
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
