STANLEY ~ Genora McGinnis Abernathy, 93, formerly of Alexis, was a daughter of the late Jonas and Essie Lay McGinnis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Alexander Abernathy; son, Ted Abernathy; grandson, Scott Abernathy; sisters, Florence Staton and Mary Ola Walker; brothers, Jake, Murray, Wilson, Roy and Cecil McGinnis.
Genora retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stanley.
Interment in Hillcrest Gardens.
