Rollo E. Gass the son of Fred and Vina (Woods) Gass was born February 1, 1925 at Edgar, Nebraska. He departed this life on Thursday, July 3, 1014 at the Rose Brook Care Center in Edgar, NE at the age of 89 years.
Rollo grew up in the Edgar, NE community and graduated from Edgar High School. He was united in marriage to Doris Salyard on February 15, 1950. Rollo was the long time manager of the Superior Deshler office in Edgar. He had served as a Clay County Commissioner for many years, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a long time member of the Church of the Plains in Edgar.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris in 2008.
Survivors include his daughter Trish Shepard of Edgar, NE, son Mike Gass of Jones, OK, a sister-in-law Wanda Gass of Virden, IL, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held this Tuesday 10:30 AM July 8, 2014 at the Church of the Plains, Edgar, NE. Pastor Kathryn Bates will be officiating. Burial will be held in the Edgar Cemetery.
