FULLERTON-Margaret V. Bowman, 91, of Fullerton, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Litzenberg Memorial County Long Term Care in Central City. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton with Pastor Linda Lambert officiating. A private family interment will be at a later date at Fullerton Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Monday, January 23rd at the church. Margaret was born March 4, 1925 to W.G. and Bessie Pauley in Hastings. She grew up in Hastings where her family owned the Pauley Lumber Company. Marg met George (Bob) Bowman while attending Hastings College and they were married in Hastings on November 6, 1943. Following Bob's military service, they moved to Fullerton where they worked/owned the Bowman Grocery Store with Bob's parents, George and Lillie. In the 1960s, they sold the store to Leonard Shotkoski. After Bob passed in 1979, Marg remained in Fullerton. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she sang in the choir, played in the hand bell choir, and was involved with the Presbyterian Women's Group. She was also a member of P.E.O and American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood mobile. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Doug) Clevenger of Smyrna, Georgia; son, Chuck (Terri) Bowman of Fullerton; four grandsons, Paul (Shelly) Bowman of Aurora, Todd (Kim) Bowman of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, Chad (Leslie) Pickrel of Fullerton, and Kurt (Tabi) Pickrel of Fullerton; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Harriet Callahan of Florida; and two sisters-in-law, Glenda (Bud) Pauley and Wilma (Bob) Pauley, both of Hastings. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Jane; two brothers, Bud and Robert Pauley; and two sisters, Jacee Kelly and Mary Guenin. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton, Nance County Foundation, and Fullerton Cemetery.
