Mrs. Peters was born Sept. 27, 1905, in Inkerman, W.Va., the daughter of Allen and Mary Combs Park. She was a school teacher in Hardy County and piano teacher. She was a graduate of Shepherd College.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Bean Settlement Home Demonstration Club. She was an adult leader in Rockoak Live Wires 4-H Club. She was a pianist and organist at the Bean Settlement Church of the Brethren.
She was married to Ray Cortland Peters, who died Jan. 28, 1975.
Surviving with her husband, are four sons, Jimmie Peters of Farmington, Mo., Donald Peters of Romney, W.Va., Walbert “Pete” Peters of Petersburg, W.Va., and Phillip Peters of Fort Myers, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandsons.
