Please note: There is as yet no proof that Pardon is buried in this cemetery as records are very shoddy but there are 5-6 unmarked graves extending from Stephen Bentley's large family grouping that have carved stone "B's" between each pair of graves. Stephen and pardon were brothers and their wives were sisters

Since they died in Sandy Creek and are not buried near any of their children, it is likely they are buried with Stephen's family.

Born in Town of Milton (Saratoga Springs), Saratoga County. Pardon, Charity and their son, Hiram, moved to Oswego County about 1826 settling outside Pulaski on a farm next door to Pardon's brother, Elias. Several of his brothers and half brothers had already settled in this area thanks to the Constable Purchase.
Pardon was a farmer and also had a woodworking shop making cabinets on his farm. They had four daughters there: Harriet, Marietta, Sarah and Eliza. In 1852 they moved to Constantia living on the southern shore of Panther Lake. In 1867 they sold that farm and moved, first to Adams, NY (1870) and then by 1875 into the village of Sandy Creek living around the corner from Pardon's brother, Stephen Bentley. Stephan was married to Diana Eighmy, sister to Charity so they each had a sibling in town.
Pardon was the son of John Bentley and Thankful Ballou of Town of Milton. His death date is unknown except that he was still alive at Charity's death on April 29, 1877 and dead before the 1880 census.
2018: New discovery of a hand written 8 page book kept by John Bentley revealed Pardon 's birth date and that he married Charity on july 10 1823 in Milton Saratoga Co. NY.
