BEDFORD - Luverna Craig, 95, of Bedford, died Monday at Bedford Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1897, in Owen County, she was the daughter of William and Minerva (Crum) Burks. She was a member of First Church of God and Women's Missionary Society.

Survivors include four sons, Raymond Craig and Cleophus Craig, both of Bedford, Amos Craig of Little Rock, Ark., and Herschel Craig of South Bend; three daughter, Ruth Davis of Lecanto, Fla., Mary Warren of Bedford and Edna Pauline Willis of Schaumburg. Ill.; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Craig, in 1954; one son and one daughter.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford with the Rev. Jim Woodward officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call 4-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God Missionary Society.
