Margaret Ann (Bottom) Emerson, 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 24th, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin. She was born on May 9, 1938 in Tennessee, to Alice Ramsey.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Cowan (Carl) Higdon of Franklin; Sherrie (Bobby Huff) Cowan of Bradenton, Florida; sons, Randy (Donna) Cowan of Kersey, Pennsylvania and Shane Emerson of Franklin; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her mother and son, Brian Cowan.

Margaret was a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin, retiring after thirty-one years of service. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Franklin. She enjoyed working in her yard and ceramics.

The Rev. Whitney Rice will conduct a celebration of Margaret's life on Thursday, June 26th, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Thursday, June 26th from 2:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
