Mrs. Sophia Aldahl, 74, died Thursday afternoon at Comforcare Rest Home.
She resided at 201 1/2 1st St. SE. Surviving are a son, Torkel of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Emma Easterson, Eau Claire, Wis.; a brother, John Bolstad, Independence, Wis.
Funeral serviecs will be help Saturday.

1885 SOPHIA ALDAHL 1960
Sophia Aldahl was born Dec. 29, 1885 at Trempleau County, Wis., the daughter of Bretha Wathe and Andrew Bolstad.
She attended school in Trempleau County and in March 1911 was united in marriage with John Aldahl at Trempleau County. They moved to Mower County and since 1935 resided in Austin. He home is 203 1/2 1st St. SE.
Mrs. Aldahl, a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, was a gold star mother and a member of Mission Circle 15.
She died Oct 6 at Comforcare Rest Home after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at 12 o'clock noon Oct 8, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the Rev. Arthur L. Swenson officiating. Interment was in Red Oak Grove Cemetery with the Worlen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Aldahl is survived by a son, Torkel B. Aldahl, Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Emma Easterson, Eau Claire, Wis.; a brother, John Bolstad, Independence, Wis. She was preceeded in death by her husband, John; an infant son, Carl; and a son, James, who was killed in World War II in Italy.
Out-of-town persons attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Bolstad, Independence, Wis.; Grant Plett, Elaine and Cindy Easterson, Eau Claire, Wis.
