"Mrs. Yawger Bray received word Thursday morning of the death of her sister, Mrs. Lalida Slingerland widow of Alfred Slingerland, who passed away Wednesday night, Dec. 20 following an illness of a year, but was only confined to her bed for the past two weeks. Zalida Lamont Slingerland was born in the town of Springwater, N. Y., Sept. 12, 1859, the eldest child of Hiram and Harriet Fisher Lamont. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Warner of Atlanta, Mrs. Emma Carlson of Rochester, and Mrs. Yawger Bray of Silver Springs, and one brother, Dwight Lamont of Canadice. Mr. and Mrs. Bray and daughter, Mrs. Russell Brown, were in Atlanta on Saturday to attend the funeral services held from the Warner home at 2 o'clock p. m., with Rev. Bittner of Wayland officiating.
