A private burial service was held at the Praireview Cemetery, Grassy Lake on Wednesday, June 19, 2014.
Predeceased by his wife Joan; his daughter Susan Labuhn; grandson Mark Brooks; brothers Sam Brooks and Bill Brooks; sisters Mary Easthope, Nellie Kinniburgh and Ann McMillan.
John volunteered during World War II and served with RCAF Squadron 432 in England and flew missions in a Halifax bomber as a mid upper gunner.
