Our beloved father and grandfather passed away on June 18, 2014.

He was born in Weston, Idaho on December 27, 1919 to Isaac Martin and Mary Jane (Mumford) Wardell.

He was a World War II veteran.

William (Dutch) married his high school sweetheart, Donnell Fritts, on December 9, 1941. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

William was a loving, kind man who enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a jack of all trades and many people benefited from his expertise.

He worked for the D&RG Railroad for over forty years.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Donnell, and is survived by daughters, Julie Wardell, Linda (Don) Watkins, and Cindy (Ron) Van Scoten; grandchildren, Ashley, Trent, and Corey; and great-grandchildren, Aspen and Autumn.

The family would like to thank the employees of Wentworth Memory Care Center for their kindness and help.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, Utah.
