A funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, in Zion Lutheran Church in Oregon City for Gordon L. White, who died Dec. 14 of a stroke at age 81.

Mr. White was born June 18, 1916, in Beloit, Kan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for Penn Salt Manufacturing for 22 years and retired in 1968. He was a member of the church. He married Helen D. Shuell in 1947.

Survivors include his wife; sons, James of Portland and Ronald of Lincoln City; daughters, Donna Mills and Sharon White, both of Milwaukie; brother, Ben of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hillside Chapel.
