Ogden B-17 Pilot Dies In Italian Theater
Lt Ralph Brown, 21, son of Mr and Mrs W Glen Brown 2711 Van Buren Ave., Ogden, whose wife is Helen Brady Brown, 2070 Madison Ave. was killed in action Dec 26 while serving as a B-17 pilot in the Italian theater.
Born June 10, 1923, in Ogden, he attended Ogden schools and was active in music, winning a musical scholarship to Weber college for one year.
After enlisting in the air corps in November 1942 he received training and was assigned overseas in November 1943. Prior to enlistment he was an employee of Ogden Union Railway & Depot Co.
Survivors include his parents; widow and two brothers, Delbert G. Brown, air forces cadet, Altus Okla., and Jerry Brown; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. O J Thorsted, 518-4th st., and T F Brown, North Ogden.
